Justice for Fred: Dog Found with Broken Legs and Shot!

A sweet dog, later named Fred, was found in devastating condition beside a highway in New Kent County, Virginia. According to local news, both of his front legs were broken, and more than a dozen BBs were lodged in his body.

The veterinarian who examined Fred reportedly believed the BB injuries were consistent with buckshot, and that his broken legs may have been left untreated for around eight weeks. If true, Fred may have endured unimaginable pain for nearly two months — unable to walk properly, carrying embedded BBs, and left in a life-threatening situation with no way to help himself.

Although it is not yet known who harmed Fred or abandoned him, this cruelty cannot go unanswered. Anyone responsible for leaving him in such a horrific state must be identified and held accountable, both to secure justice for Fred and to help prevent another animal from suffering in the same way.

We are urging authorities to thoroughly investigate Fred’s case and do everything possible to find the person or persons responsible. Please sign the petition today to demand justice for Fred.
