Tell FIFA: Don’t Let Trump Ban Trans Athletes

Trump is pressuring FIFA to ban transgender women from the 2031 Women’s World Cup set to be held in the USA. 

This summer, the World Cup brought the world together across countries, cultures, and identities. Now, Trump wants to ruin that by turning it into another way to target transgender people and put discrimination on the global stage. 

Tell FIFA President Gianni Infantino: Stand up to Trump’s bullying and protect trans athletes from discrimination.

This is bigger than one tournament. If FIFA lets the White House force anti-trans rules for the Women’s World Cup, it would send a dangerous message to sports organizations everywhere: basic rights can be traded away for political convenience.

Transgender bans and invasive sex-verification policies do not protect women’s sports. They stigmatize trans women and put all women athletes at risk of humiliation, harassment, and scrutiny over their bodies.

FIFA has a responsibility to stand up for fairness, dignity, and equality. That means refusing to let any government — including the United States — use hosting power to impose policies that endanger LGBTQ+ athletes.
